Aastik in 1 Year 4 Months: (28th March – 28th April 2013)

My smart kid is getting smarter as he is about to turn 1.5 years. He knows how to play “Chidiya Udh Game”. Aastik has also learnt to show his eyes by winking them in a naughty way, when I ask him where his eyes are.

Aastik loves playing with balls and knows how to play hide and seek behind the curtain on at the bed side by hiding down. Remote controls, cell phones, pressure cookers, utensils and balls are his all time favorites these days. When I say hello to him, he also shakes hand and takes his hand to his ear, as if attending a phone call.

The most exciting thing that happened to Aastik in the16th Month is that he got bald. I mean we did his mundan this month on the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi on April 13^th, 2013. Thanks to Frooti that my baby didn’t cry when his mundane was going on.

Aastik is now ready to climb up the bed and he tries a lot to do so these days. In fact, one day he climbed up the bed with the help of a stool kept nearby and I was shocked to see his mischief. He loves regulating the fan and switching on the switches on the switchboard and that keeps me very worried all the time…

He got vaccinated with MMR vaccine this month and as usual cried for a second and then ran like nothing happened to him – My Brave Little Boy… But this brave boy gets scared of crows and I use this scare often to make him sleep at noon. On the other hand, he loves dogs and tries to touch them when I take him for a stroll.

Aastik in 1 Year 3 Months (28th February - 28th March 2013)

15^th month was a mix package for Aastik, as he enjoyed this month a stay at his Nani’s house but fell sick there with stomach infection. He was not allowed to have milk for 2 days and my baby couldn’t sleep well all night and shouted like hell. Even the neighbors asked what happened to the little baby.

Aastik impressed everyone with his dance skills on any beat he hears, be it music of Reyansh’s cry. My baby is fond of going out and the moment he hears a door bell, he just jumps off to the door to slip out because his Nani house is on ground floor. Moreover, I took him to park daily in the morning and evening, so he got used to go out.

When his stomach infection got over, he enjoyed with his Kinju Di and Reyansh Bhai. The moment he arrived back to Dadi’s house, he got eye infection. Now, by God’s grace my toddler is fine.

Aastik enjoyed playing holi with his both cousin sisters and loves clapping in water bucket. I had to grab him forcefully to stop the water play and he cried a lot.

My little wonder smiles brightly with his 8 teeth with 4 in the upper jaw and 4 in the lower jaw. This cute little angry young toddler knows how to express his anger by banging things, shouting and beating his hands wherever he could. 

Aastik in 1 Year 2 Months: (28th January 2011 - 28th February 2013)

Bujung bujung and butur butur are the words that my 14 months old toddler loves to utter these days. Aastik as usual is at his naughtiest best and loves to play hide and seek with me. Falling every 3^rd day while walking in a madsy mood is a normal thing for him now.

Aastik went on his 1^st train journey this month to Chintpurni with his parents and Nanu family. He got disturbed by the noise mad by two boggie junction at night and it was very hard to make him sleep in the train, rest all was fine. His Papa dear carried him all the way wherever possible in a baby carrier.

My naughty baby is highly irritated these days, as his 7^th tooth and 8^th tooth are just about to come in the lower jaw. Due to this reason he is eating less but chips and crax are his all time favorite with Maggi.

The worst thing these days I am facing is that the moment I get up in the morning, he gets up with me, as if he has fixed n hidden an alarm in me to wake him up. Aastik has got fascination with cell phones, landline phones, remote controls and also loves hearing voices on phones.

My toddler baby has made his Dadi Dadu go mad, as the moment he slips into their room he creates havoc on their dressing table. Thank God! I caught him on the right moment one day, when he had a big scissor in his hand. He just opens up all the drawers and cupboards that are unlocked in their room and I don’t need to find him, I get to know through their shouting, that Aastik is on his favorite time pass in their room.

Aastik is getting brainy these days and I can make it out, as he loves opening and closing boxes and making noises by banging them on table. I am planning to get some toys that are going to help him in developing in this building and making skill. He also loves pipes of all kinds and one day when I took him to a park, he didn’t even left the hose pipe there. 

 

 

 

 

 

Aastik in 1 Year 1Month: (28th December 2011 - 28th January 2013)

Now, that my baby has turned into a toddler, he decided to give me the best gift in the New Year 2013 by starting walking on his own from January 1^st, 2013. I felt so nice to see my lappy baby, who used to lie in my lap now standing and walking towards me like a baby penguin.

Aastik is on his mischievous best these days and opens up all the drawers and cupboards where I forget to put a lock. He throws away all the things he can catch hold off and seems to be on a task taught by his dad to give Mumma a good exercise regime by throwing everything anywhere.

My little toddler is getting brainy too these days and tries to observe and repeat things he see often. He can now do head down in prayer and yes, his Dadu taught him one-two exercise. Aastik shouts a lot in anger, when we don’t listen to him and also trying his best to talk now. His favorite words are “bebe—baba—pi-pi-mumma-pepe and gra-gra”.

He looks so sweet doing the chatkara when he is happy or likes eating something. My 6 teeth beauty now has his 4 teeth in front of the upper jaw and two lower front teeth. He got vaccinated for the 1^st Dose of Hep. A this month and didn’t cry much. Naughty Aastik also do bhap and beats me and objects around him whenever he feels like. At the end of this 13^th month my baby has caught cold, cough and also fever. Let’s see how he progresses the next month.

Aastik in 12th Month: Part III (28th November 2011 - 28th December 2012)

Yeah!!! Aastik turns 1 year today. It seems that only yesterday that he was given to me in my lap with his tiny hands and feet. Now, the naughty baby has turned one. I can easily recount how the whole year was growing him and also growing with him as a mother. He used to sleep for 2 hours and then wake up for 2 hours alternatively whole day. Now, the brat sleeps only twice a day.

We celebrated Aastik’s 1^st birthday at Comesum Family Lounge with our family and his Nanu dear’s family. This 1 year old boy has got his 1^st car on his 1^st birthday. His Nanu gifted him a stylish blue battery operated car on his 1^st birthday and Aastik really loved it.

My little prince wore a red fur coat and a matching cap on his very 1^st birthday. The venue was all decorated with white and pink balloons. We chose a cake in the form of “1” to represent his 1^st birthday. The only problem we faced was that the birthday boy was feeling sleeping and didn’t enjoyed much and went cranky during the birthday celebration.

The funniest thing was that the naughty boy was in full mood to celebrate his 1^st birthday as we reached home and slept as late as 1:30am in the night. That time, felt like giving a good birthday bump for not being a sport during his birthday celebration and being in full enjoyable mood at home late night, when we wanted to sleep.

I now imagine, how he will be like on his 2^nd birthday. I guess, I must by running after him and he might be set to go to a playschool and on the top of it, he will be more notorious. I pray to God to give my dearest son good health, prosperity and the best of life and yes, I also pray to God to give me more stamina to bear his naughtiness in the coming years of his toddlerhood.

Aastik in 12th Month: Part II (28th November 2011 - 28th December 2012)

Aastik looks lovely when he stands without support and does sit ups while clapping his hands these days. He also loves dancing without support standing and smiling in his own way. I will never forget these days when he is showing such cute signs of independence to stand and walk.

My little baby surprised me by walking on bed without support and coming to me on 15^th Dec 2012 for the very first time. It was a precious moment for me and I captured it in my camera and of course in my eyes and heart forever. The same day he fell down twice from bed in an eagerness to walk. I need to be extra cautious for him now, as his Dadi told me!

My baby’s 5^th tooth and finally the main front upper jaw tooth is coming and on his 1^st birthday he impressed everyone with his 5 teeth smile. Aastik is now showing his interest in learning and catching things now. He knows how to do “Jai-Jai”, Bye-Bye”, ”Hello”, “Clap”, ”Dance”, ”What a Ball is”, ”Where is fan?”, ”Where is his head?”. My baby also loves to dance on the train’s voice when it passes behind our balcony.

I never saw a 1 year old baby trying to fall from a walker or jumping with walker. Now, I see him doing so in his walker, I used to be carefree setting him in his walker earlier but now, it is the most risky thing I do, as he bends completely down to pick things and is on the verge of falling from the walker many times. In anger, when I don’t listen to him, he holds his walker and bangs it by jumping with it.

Just 3 days before his 1^st birthday, my baby celebrated his last 1^st festival, i.e., Christmas. I made him wear a red and white dress that I bought especially for him for Christmas.

I have so much to share and pen down about Aastik’s 12^th month, so, I’ll be writing Part 3 this time…

Aastik in 12th Month: Part I (28th November 2011 - 28th December 2012)

My little baby has finally entered in his birthday month for the 1^st time. He loves kissing and loving himself in the mirror these days, as if congratulating on soon to be turning one. I must admit that Aastik has very sharp eyes that he picks even the smallest particle from the floor and tries to gulp in mouth.

Walking fast around the bed has become Aastik’s all time favorite hobby these days. Thank God! With this he is also giving me a clue that Mumma I am gonna walk without support very soon and you will have to catch me and run after me.

My shona baby loves eating Maggi and all the spicy food that his mother loves to eat. The best blunder or I must say milestone for the 12^th month is that Aastik has learnt to get down from bed these days on his own. His nani gave him instructions on how to get down from bed when he was at his Nani’s house last week and he picked it up so quickly. Now, I can leave him alone in room on floor for 1-2 minutes, so in a way he has eased me a bit.

Aastik is also doing a very funny thing these days and that is he makes Chinese eyes and smiles sweetly when he is happy. He made his dadi wondered one day by going out to balcony walking in walker and coming in from drawing room and then again going out from dadi’s room. He laughed a lot on this round a round game in his walker.

I have also taught him to give and take things on instructions and many times he does so. He has started catching instructions on repeated orders now. He tells where is his head and where is the fan by or by touching the head or by seeing at the ceiling. He also loves playing with ball with his cousin sisters and of course me.

The worst thing in his 12^th month is that Aastik wakes up at least 4 times in the night due to hunger, as he doesn’t eat much these days. His 4^th tooth is also coming and may be due to dentation, he is doing so. He sweats a lot while sleeping and drinking milk and doctor says it is normal.
